Seneca Valley School District is currently accepting internship applications for the 2025-2026 school year. A school psychology intern will have opportunities to engage in the MTSS framework, consultation, evaluation, behavioral intervention, counseling, and more. The District currently employs six full-time psychologists and one part-time psychologist with various levels of experience, interests, and strengths. Currently, our school psychology team does not offer supervision by a licensed level psychologist.
About SVSD
The Seneca Valley School District is located about 30 minutes north of Pittsburgh, just across the Allegheny County border in Butler County, with close proximity to the Pennsylvania Turnpike and adjacent to Interstate 79. This suburban district covers 100 square miles and includes Cranberry, Forward, Jackson, and Lancaster Townships, as well as Callery, Evans City, Harmony, Seven Fields, and Zelienople boroughs. The district services over 7,400 students K-12 with over 900 employees.
Position Details
This position is for 191 days and follows the teacher calendar for the school year. Compensation is a stipend, pending school board approval. Additionally, a computer will be provided for use in assessment scoring and report writing. No other benefits are included.
Application Materials
Interested individuals should submit a letter of interest, résumé, or curriculum vitae; copies of transcripts; two letters of recommendation; copies of clearances obtained within the last calendar year (Act 34 Criminal Record, Act 151 Child Abuse History, and Act 114 FBI Fingerprinting); and copies of relevant Act 168 Sexual Abuse/Misconduct Disclosure Release forms. Applicants will subsequently be asked to submit a sample redacted Evaluation Report, a physical dated within 12 months, and tuberculosis test results dated within three months. Materials should be submitted by March 15, 2025.
